Walleye Pete

Hello, my name is Captain “Walleye” Pete Dahlberg. I’m a U.S. Coast Guard Certified Captain and Licensed Guide in MD. I currently live in St. Leonard, MD, approximately 12 miles from Solomons Island.

I grew up in Camden, NY, a small town in upstate NY. My life centered around my next fishing trip with my dad and grandmother. I fished mostly for Walleye Pike in Oneida Lake and Brown Trout in the local rivers and streams. At the age of 12 I was skippering the family boat to the hot Walleye areas. I’m 54 years old and can’t remember exactly when I first wet a line,  think I was in diapers.

I’ve been guiding on Chesapeake Bay and other areas for 25 years now.  I retired from the US Air Force in 2004 and haven’t looked back. Guiding full time being on the water and making great memories for countless folks is incredibly fulfilling to me.  I wouldn’t do anything any different and will continue to guide as long as I can.  It’s a lifelong dream come true and it just keeps rolling!

It was a life long dream of mine to be a fishing guide. April of 2000 the dream became reality and I obtained my licensing and Four Seasons Guide Service. The United States Air Force brought me to the Chesapeake. I retired from the Air Force after 22 1/2 years service in Nov 2004.

As a guide I bring a life long love of fishing and 25 years guiding experience.  I bring a wealth of enthusiasm, ambition, and a sincere concern to provide the best fishing experience possible every single trip, and true love for the sport of fishing. Come on out and give it a shot!
